Programmable Logic Controller Training

I thought it might be handy for some folks to know where to look to find resources both paid and free on PLC training.

So, without further adieu, here are some links to PLC resources out on the interwebs.

1) For the absolute beginner I would recommend PLCS.NET

This site gives you some history on the development of the PLC and ladder logic. It also has a nifty virtual online generic PLC, where you can develop rungs and learn a little about ladder logic.

2) For those who may be familiar with PLC,s in general, but may have a question about a certain make/model, go to PLCdev.com

They have a Tutorial , Glossary, and Directory sections, and a forum for asking questions.

3) Number Three comes from the land of YouTube (more or less a preview for a paid course):

4) Not a free option, but online training nonetheless that is supposed to be highly regarded – Automationtraining.ca
